One of the easiest campgrounds to find off of Hwy 2 is Money Creek. Its a beautiful campground with old growth timber right on the South Fork Skykomish River. You can find toilets, drinking water and well maintained campsites available in the summer months. It has an excellent watering hole for summer time swimming and great access to popular hiking destinations like Lake Dorthy, Lake Elizabeth or one of the many other hikes and trails in the area. The only downside is that you pretty close to Hwy 2 so you are likely to hear the roaring sound of cars heading over Steven Pass.
